Abstract

After failing to retrieve Count Gregorys magic tome, you have been tasked to retrieve other books instead. Your first mission is to fetch a book about dragons that has not been returned in time.

Summary

You have been tasked by Count Gregory to retrieve his Magic Book that has been stolen by a cult. As payment he offered one book of his personal collection. However, due to lack of information on this cult, despite another group failing the mission already, you were largely outnumbered and failed to bring it back. Now you are on a mission to bring him a book about dragons that hasn't been returned in time. After this mission, he will have 3 more books for you to get him for your original reward. On your mission, you learn that the book has been stolen by kobolds. The researcher that borrowed the book assumes they are working together with a dragon that resides nearby. He wanted to study the book to be more knowledgeable in dragon customs and etiquette and seemed somewhat afraid of it. The kobolds are regularly stealing some food and the bartenders herb liqueur. Nobody here seems to really want them dead, they are just annoying at times. However, their hunter was willing to pay you 20gp in total, should you make them go away.
